Daniel J. Lee
Daniel Lee is a Founder and Developmental Director at Knockstudy. His primary responsibilities include overseeing the program and developing new initiatives. In addition to his involvement with Knockstudy, Daniel worked as an Investment Officer at the U.S. Department of Energy. Prior to this, Daniel was a Financial Analyst at Houlihan Lokey. Daniel has been a DJ and music producer for over eleven years. He has been involved at Rampart J.U.I.C.E. and instructed classes at U.C. Berkeley’s DJ DeCal Program. Daniel received his B.A. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
Deeana Garcia is the Academic Director for Knockstudy providing administrative and logistical guidance for the everyday coordination of events and programs. Deeana’s contribution to Knockstudy includes her knowledge and experience working within various non-profit organizations and educational institutions. Deeana has a B.A. in Social Science/ Education from UC Irvine and a M.A. in International Educational Development at Teachers College at Columbia University. Her previous experience with youth include positions within UC Irvine’s Early Academic Outreach Programs, the Japanese Exchange and Teaching Program, USC’s Office of Overseas Studies, and most recently held the position as a High School Counselor at Columbia University’s high school outreach program in New York City.
Alessandro “Zo” Manno
Alessandro Manno (DJ Zo) is a Founder and Creative Director at Knockstudy. His primary responsibilities include overseeing the Knockstudy program. DJ Zo has worked closely with kids in an after-school environment having run a DJ workshop at Virgil Middle School for almost two years. He has experience teaching kids ages 12-16 about the basics of DJing and Digital DJ technology. He has a weekly lesson plan with measurable goals that covers everything from setting up gear to beat matching and scratching. DJ Zo received his B.S. in Business: Finance at Virginia Tech.
Brian N. Lee
Brian Lee is a Founder and Advisor to Knockstudy and responsible for the overall guidance of the program. In addition to his involvement with Knockstudy, Brian founded Knocksteady and heads music and merchandise for Maker Studios. Prior to this, Brian worked in various strategy and financial roles at Broadcom and Kaiser Permanente. He specializes in consulting Web 2.0 companies in social media and mobile technology. Brian received B.A. degrees in both Political Science & International Studies with minors in Film and Business Management from the University of California, Irvine.
Jonathan “Dumbfoundead” Park
Jonathan “Dumbfoundead” Park is a Founder and Advisor to Knockstudy and responsible for the overall guidance and promotion of the program. Before becoming an artist and founder of Knockstudy, Dumbfoundead was a former student at Bresee Community Center. Growing up in Koreatown, Los Angeles, he frequented the center for counseling and extracurricular activities. He later went on to pursue music as a career and has performed all over the world with a global fan base of all ages. As of 2013, Dumbfoundead has amassed over 42 million views and 325,000 YouTube subscribers. His work can be found at www.youtube.com/dumbfoundead and www.dumbfoundead.com.
Brian Yoon is the Art Director at Knockstudy. His primary responsibilities include managing branding direction and visual promotion for Knockstudy. Brian brings a diverse background in art and design courses and has had a variety of design experience ranging from shirts and posters for campus clubs to in-game artwork for video game companies. Brian received his B.A. in Design|Media Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Roxana Reyes is a Student Coordinator at Knockstudy.
