With the last week of Knockstudy right around the corner, we’ve seen 15 young people go through a process that was for some new and for others familiar. From their first week of awkward silences, this group evolved and showed their commitment and eagerness to learn. These students met 3 times a week for a total of 6 hours a day, absorbing what they could about the world of DJing and beat making. Spoken like a true veteran of the game, DJ Zo shared his vast knowledge of the art of DJ & Music Production through lectures, guest speakers, performances, hands on activities and extensive exposure to software and equipment commonly used in the industry today. DJ Zo combined his skills of the art along with his past experience working with youth and brought about a program that surpassed the expectations of our students. We are thankful for the many guest speakers who enthusiastically shared their unique styles, personal techniques, time and of course their words of wisdom to come in and speak to our students.We hope to continue with this momentum and move forward with what lies next for Knockstudy and our Knockstudy DJs of the future.
